Story

House of Wolves is the music project of Rey Villalobos
the band name's origin coming from the translation of Villa-lobos
from Spanish to English. A Los Angeles native, Villalobos' family originates
from two different sides of the globe - Cananea Sonora México and Francavilla al Mare
on the Italian Adriatic Coast. Rey grew up a classically trained pianist, citing
Chopin as his first musical influence.

House of Wolves' debut album Fold In The Wind
was produced and mixed by John Askew (Alela Diane, The Dodos).
The album presents a warm, ethereal, and poetic collection. While beautifully eerie in acoustic form,
the songs are filled with colorful symphonic sustain that decorates spacious
arrangements and blended with Villalobos' haunting melodies they call to mind
Elliott Smith, Low, & Sparkle Horse.

Over the past few years Villalobos has opened up for Sharon Van Etten,
The Tallest Man on Earth, Damion Jurado, Villagers, and more, spending
much of his time touring Europe and the U.S. & has recently signed to French label
Fargo Records . Album to be released spring & summer 2013 all over Europe.
